The RG is the most recognizable and distinctive guitar in the Ibanez line. Three decades of metal have forged this high-performance machine, honing it for both speed and strength. Whether you favor a hardtail (fixed) bridge or our industry-leading locking tremolo system, the RG is a precision instrument.
Ibanez builds guitars for players of all levels—from beginners to the most demanding masters of the instrument. Regardless of price, Ibanez always strives to offer the absolute best sound, style, and playability in its class. The Standard series incorporates all the staples the Ibanez brand is famous for, such as fast necks, floating trems, and high-octane distortion in a package that is available and accessible to most players.
- CASE/GIG BAG: Not Included.
- Wizard III Maple Neck: Ibanez's signature thin, flat, and fast neck profile that is strong and sturdy, offering unlimited playability for demanding players.
- Jatoba Fretboard: Features a reddish-brown color that produces a rich mid-range with a crisp high end, complemented by iconic White Sharktooth inlays.
- Jumbo Frets: Designed for smooth playability, making large note bends and quick single-note runs easier and more precise.
- Meranti Body: Provides a well-balanced tone with a "sweet" character and slightly scooped mid-range.
- Quantum HSH Pickups: A versatile pickup configuration (Humbucker-Single-Humbucker) that provides accelerated bass response for exceptionally fast tracking of high-speed staccato riffs with crushing mid-range and precise high-end articulation.
- Edge-Zero II Tremolo: A lower-profile tremolo bridge designed for playing comfort, featuring a stud lock function for superior tuning stability during aggressive dive bombs.

At Easy Music Center, we care for our instruments from the moment they arrive to when they ship to your door. All instruments are stored in a climate controlled environment and put through a 12-point inspection checklist before being shipped.
First, we check the finish of the instrument, carefully inspecting any blemishes on the surface. Next, we check the playability and setup by inspecting and adjusting the truss rod (if available), bridge, nut, and frets to manufacturer factory specifications. Any request made outside of manufacturer factory specifications can incur additional charges for parts and labor. If the instrument has electronics, we test all of the electronic components to make sure they are functioning properly.
After a thorough inspection, we then move on to maintenance. We start by lubricating any moving parts on the instrument, such as tuning machines. We then move on to cleaning and oiling the fretboard along with the frets.
Once maintenance is done, we stretch and tune the strings and play test the instrument. After this, we do a final inspection and clean/detail the instrument before packing it up for shipment.
We’re excited to be a part of your instrument buying experience.
