CPS Warranty Coverage

Play with peace of mind. Easy Music Center partners with Consumer Priority Service (CPS) to offer extended protection plans on the instruments and gear you buy from us. CPS is a nationwide protection plan provider that helps pay for covered repairs, parts and labor included, after the manufacturer's warranty runs out. Whether it's a keyboard that stops powering on, an amp with a failed circuit, or a mixer with a dead channel, CPS takes care of the repair so you can get back to playing, practicing, and performing.

Why Add a CPS Plan?

Parts & labor covered

Covered repairs include both replacement parts and the technician's work, with no surprise repair bills.

Picks up where the factory warranty ends

Standard CPS protection begins when the manufacturer's warranty expires, extending your coverage for years.

Accidental damage option

Upgrade to accidental protection for unintentional drops (under 6 ft) and liquid spills.

Transferable

Selling or gifting your gear? The remaining coverage can transfer to the new owner. (Additional fees may be required)

Qualified repair network

CPS coordinates repairs through qualified and factory-authorized service providers where available.

US-based support

File claims online anytime and reach a real US-based support team by phone, chat, text, or email.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

All claims are handled directly by CPS, not by Easy Music Center. Here's what to do:

  1. Gather your details. Have your proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or order confirmation email showing the date, item, plan, and prices), a description of the problem, and the date it started. Please email orders@easymusiccenter.com if you need a copy of your receipt.
  2. File your claim with CPS. Sign in to the CPS Client Portal to file online, or contact CPS by phone, text, chat, or email (see below).
  3. Follow CPS's service instructions. CPS reviews your claim and tells you the next step, such as where to send your item or which repair shop to use. Don't arrange or pay for a repair on your own before CPS approves it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What isn't covered?

Standard protection doesn't cover strings, reeds, drum heads, tuning, setups, surface finishes, normal wear and tear, or humidity damage. Misuse, routine maintenance, and problems that existed before coverage began aren't covered on any plan. Accidental plans also exclude loss or theft, drops over 6 feet, full submersion in liquid, fire, natural disasters, and pet damage. See your plan's terms for full details.

My item is still under the manufacturer's warranty. Who do I contact?

For factory defects during the manufacturer's warranty period, the manufacturer is usually the right contact, and we're happy to help you reach them. If you have an accidental damage plan or aren't sure which coverage applies, contact CPS and they'll point you in the right direction.

Is there a deductible?

It depends on the plan. Some CPS plans have no deductible and others do. Your plan documents list any deductible, or you can confirm with CPS before arranging service.

How long does a claim take?

CPS generally reviews claims within 1–2 business days. Total repair time depends on the problem, parts availability, and shipping, especially for us here in Hawai‘i.

Who pays for shipping if my item has to be mailed in?

That depends on your plan. If your plan includes prepaid shipping, CPS emails you a shipping label and covers return shipping; you just provide the packaging. Always confirm shipping with CPS before sending anything.

What if my instrument can't be repaired?

CPS will first try to repair it. If that isn't possible, CPS may replace it or pay its current market value at the time of the claim, up to the plan's maximum.

Does my coverage continue after a repair?

Yes. After a covered repair, your remaining coverage stays in place. A replacement, a cash settlement, or reaching the plan's maximum payout ends the plan.

Can I transfer my plan if I sell my gear?

Yes, CPS plans are transferable to a new owner. Contact CPS to arrange the transfer and confirm whether a fee applies.

I lost my warranty number. How do I find it?

Check for the CPS confirmation email you received after purchase. If you still can't find it, contact CPS with your name and purchase details, or reach out to us and we can help look up your order.
