Ever since it was first released back in 1965, the Non-Reverse Thunderbird has been THE choice for forward-looking bassists who want to make their own path and steadfastly refuse to follow the crowd. The Non-Reverse Thunderbird's distinctive styling and huge, thunderous tone make it a standout on stage and in the studio. Now you have the opportunity to make one of these relatively rare 'birds your own with the release of the new Gibson USA Non-Reverse Thunderbird. Equipped with a Non-Reverse mahogany body and mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard and 20 medium jumbo frets, each of the two Thunderbird pickups has a volume control, allowing you to use them separately, or to blend them in any amount you prefer. A master tone control rounds out the simple yet highly effective control layout. The three-ply white pickguard features the iconic Thunderbird graphic. The Non-Reverse Thunderbird is equipped with a Graph Tech® nut. A 3-point adjustable bridge provides a full range of adjustment for action and intonation, while Hipshot® Ultralite® tuning machines hold down the strings at the other end and deliver accurate and stable tuning while keeping headstock weight low to improve balance. Available in Inverness Green, Faded Pelham Blue, and Sparkling Burgundy, a hardshell case is included.

At Easy Music Center, we care for our instruments from the moment they arrive to when they ship to your door. All instruments are stored in a climate controlled environment and put through a 12-point inspection checklist before being shipped.
First, we check the finish of the instrument, carefully inspecting any blemishes on the surface. Next, we check the playability and setup by inspecting and adjusting the truss rod (if available), bridge, nut, and frets to manufacturer factory specifications. Any request made outside of manufacturer factory specifications can incur additional charges for parts and labor. If the instrument has electronics, we test all of the electronic components to make sure they are functioning properly.
After a thorough inspection, we then move on to maintenance. We start by lubricating any moving parts on the instrument, such as tuning machines. We then move on to cleaning and oiling the fretboard along with the frets.
Once maintenance is done, we stretch and tune the strings and play test the instrument. After this, we do a final inspection and clean/detail the instrument before packing it up for shipment.
We’re excited to be a part of your instrument buying experience.
