"What I like about the Tortex picks more than most any other pick is the texture. It's got great grip and it defeats sweat on your fingers like no other pick I've ever tried. This particular thickness of pick a little more suited to soloing and heavy metal style chugging. You can solo easily with it, and it has great heavy tone for solos. Unless you are an experienced player, I would not recommend this pick for strumming. If you are a new player, I would recommend the yellow tortex, which is going to be easier to strum on at first.
