The new Ibanez AW54JR-OPN is a great option for those seeking the perfect starter guitar for a young player, or for the experienced player who may be more comfortable on a smaller instrument. This guitar employs a scaled down version of the popular dreadnaught body style with the added benefit of a nicely positioned forearm contour for added comfort while playing.
The Solid Mahogany top, along with the Mahogany back and sides produce a full, robust tone that provides a solid presence suitable for solo performances or to sit perfectly in the mix when performing with a group. The satin finish on the Mahogany neck allows the player to move effortlessly up and down the neck for fast and accurate playing.
The "open pore" finish creates a more vintage feel, while also permitting the tone woods to breathe, producing an unencumbered, balanced, and natural tone. The AW54JR-OPN is well suited for the beginner, ready to meet the needs of the professional, or ideal for someone needing the perfect traveler guitar.
- Gig bag included
The 3pc Nyatoh/Maple Neck provides a rich mid-low end.
The Ovangkol fretboard provides greater playing comfort.
Okoume back and sides
The Okoume back and sides generate a woody, warm tone when the guitar is played softly or finger-picked and provide punchy high-mids with a clear projection when strummed.
The Ovangkol bridge transfers string vibration directly to the body, delivering a natural and warm tone.
Ibanez Advantage™ bridge pins
These pins really are an advantage over old-fashioned pins. Advantage™ pins are easier to take out and easier to put in than standard pins. A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, with Advantage™ the pin and string stay put.

Here at Easy Music Center, we care for our instruments from the moment they arrive to when they ship to your door. All instruments are stored in a climate controlled environment and put through a 12 point inspection checklist before being shipped.
First, we check the finish of the instrument, carefully inspecting any blemishes on the surface. Next, we check the playability and setup by inspecting and adjusting the truss rod (if available), bridge, nut, and frets. If the instrument has electronics, we test all of the electronic components to make sure they are functioning properly.
After a thorough inspection, we then move on to maintenance. We start by lubricating any moving parts on the instrument, such as tuning machines. We then move on to cleaning and oiling the fretboard along with the frets.
Once maintenance is done, we stretch and tune the strings and play test the instrument. After this, we do a final inspection and clean/detail the instrument before packing it up for shipment.
We’re excited to be a part of your instrument buying experience.
